He was predeceased by: his parents, John Kersey and Gracie Turner Kersey; his wife Josephine Tarte Kersey; his children, Tammy Kersey, Cathy Kersey and Little David Kersey; and his siblings, Dorothy Kersey Nolan, Vera Grettle Hayes and Mack Kersey.
He is survived by: his sons, Frankie Kersey (Jamie) of Darlington, Billy Kersey of Latta and Warren Kersey (Sandra) of Latta; his grandchildren, Josh Webster, Christopher Kersey (Ginger) of Latta, Justin Kersey (Mary) of Florence, Tyler Sandifer (Chelsy) of Darlington, Christy Skipper of Latta and Hannah Lane (Brent) of Darlington; and his brother Doug Kersey of Latta. He is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren.
