He was predeceased by: his parents, James McCoy and Creola Thomas McCoy; and his siblings, Geralene McCoy, Annie Lue McCoy McCall, Edna Lue McCoy Hinds, Luke Allen McCoy, Carl E. McCoy and Willie Lawrence McCoy.
He is survived by: his children, Regina Bostic, Leslie F. Townsend (James), Renee, Mark E. McCoy (Stephanie), Tammy King (Calvin), James A. McCoy, Yolandra D., Audrey D. McCoy-Green (Christopher), LaToya P. and Randy Green, Jr. Aviano (Lindsey); and his sisters, Diane M. Davis, Pearlie F. McCall of Clio, SC, Jessie Lee Moore of Florence, SC and Creola M. Easterling of McColl, SC. He is also survived by loving nieces, nephews, Cousins, relatives, and friends.
