He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Legrand Smith and Beatrice Hulon Smith; his wife Barbara Elizabeth Dew Smith; his sons, Benjamin Legrand Smith (Ashley) of Summerville, SC and Philip Charles Smith (Kelly) of Latta, SC; his sister Carolyn Smith Martin (Johnny) of Latta, SC; and his grandchildren, Alexander, Nicholas, Colby and Chaz. He was also cherished by numerous nieces and nephews.
