He was predeceased by: his parents, Doris Cowart and Carlis Cowart; and his siblings, Carl, Teresa, Molly and Doris.
He is survived by: his children, James Cowart, Lester Decell, Steven Decell and Tasha Rabon; his grandchildren, Emily Cowart, Jordan Cowart and Madison Black; and his sisters, Rita Gay, Louise Greene, Donna White and Cassie White.
