She was predeceased by: her parents, Mary Seigler Stein and Thomas H. Stein; her brothers, Thomas Stein, Jr. and Stephen Stein; her daughter Lisa Blackman; and her former husband William Jacob Shealy.
She is survived by: her children, Tammy Dejean (Tyler), Joyce Snodgrass (Ray) and Timothy Shealy; and her siblings, Mary Ann Cooper and Anthony Stein. She is also survived by ten grandchildren and many great grandchildren.
