Donald Louie Malone Obituary

Mr. Donald Louie "Donnie" Malone, 83, of Langley, SC, beloved husband of fifty-seven years to Sally Meehan Malone, entered into rest on Monday, July 4, 2022, in the comfort of his home, surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Augusta, GA and a longtime resident of North Augusta, SC, he was a son of the late Louie Tessie and Sarah Crawford Malone. He was a Chef and also a Musician, having played with several bands, most notably, the Mary and Fargo Band, Crossroads and Just Us. He proudly and with honor served his country in the United States Navy. Donnie was a member of the American Legion Post #63 and loved animals. More than anything however, he loved his family dearly.

In addition to his wife and parents, family members include his children, Amanda Malone Jones and her husband, Billy, Burnettown, SC, Roxanne Malone Cannon and her husband, Artie, Savannah, GA and Terry Donald Malone, San Diego, CA; siblings, William "Bill" Malone, Blythe, GA, James Arthur "Jimmy" Malone, Martinez, GA and the late Robert Malone, grandchildren, Fletcher Jones, Shawn Hadden, Jason Cannon, Phallen Williams, Trever Cannon, Brandon Cannon, Rachel Bishop, Camron Malone and Brady Malone and ten great-grandchildren.

A memorial gathering to celebrate Donnie's life will be held on Thursday, July 21, 2022, from 5 until 8 o'clock at the American Legion Post #63, Augusta, GA.

Due to his love for animals, it has been suggested that memorials be made to the Albrecht Center for Animal Welfare (http://www.letlovelive.org).
