It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Shirley Howard of Landrum, South Carolina, born in Decoy, Kentucky, who passed away on January 31, 2024, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Chester Smith and Tennie Smith (Messer); her spouse Willie "Bill" Howard; her son Bill; her grandson Joshua Howard; and her siblings, Hirley Smith, Birley Smith, Mirly Miller, Crady Smith, Joyce Ritchie, Leottis Smith, Barbara McDonald and Hobart Smith.
She is survived by: her children, Rev. H. Lloyd Howard (Joan) of Landrum, SC, Ruth Robinson (late H.) of Charleston, SC, Ruby Clark (Howard), Deborah Howard of Landrum, SC and Pamela LeMar-Neidhardt (David) of Lima, OH; her brothers, Truman Smith (Susan) of Waynesfield, OH and Kirby Smith (Ruth) of Dayton, OH; and her grandchildren, Andy Howard, Jay Howard (Erin), Keith Robinson (Jennifer), Rodney Howard, Kayla Hines, Thomas Howard (Emily), Jacob Howard, Justin Howard (Kristen), Jennifer Schlosser (Brian), Eric Neidhardt (Raenette) and Andrew Neidhardt. She is also survived by 17 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
