He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Hinson and Gladys Stroud Hinson; and his siblings, Mack, Hampton of William, Wade, George and Annetta.
He is survived by: his wife Ellen Ruhama Campbell Hinson; his children, Laurie Woodward (Johnny) of Lancaster, Susan King of Lancaster, Stacey Honeycutt (Brian) of Winston-Salem and Noah Hinson of Greer; his siblings, James Hinson of Great Falls and Hattie Polston of Lancaster; his grandchildren, Brian Woodward, Jason Woodward, Matthew King, Joshua King, Leah Honeycutt and Evan Honeycutt; and his great grandchildren, Preston Woodward, Jonah Woodward, Bethany Woodward and Rachel Woodward.
