“I met Gerrye in '69 when we were both at the Univ. of GA. We became good friends, and I treasured our friendship. Gerry was smart, extremely kind, loved animals and books, and had a wickedly sharp sense of humor. She and her friend, Sheelah Clarkson, opened and ran the Book Hound in Landrum for many yrs. I last saw Gerrye a couple of months ago. She recently celebrated her 90th birthday. Rest in Peace, Gerrye. ~ Dorothy”
