It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Eugene Baker Young of Landrum, South Carolina, born in Towanda, Pennsylvania, who passed away on August 4, 2024, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his former wife Ellen Doris Ruhl Young; his parents, Adrian Young and Ruth Ann Minier Young; his children, Dagmar Young and Detlef Young; his stepson Greg Hill; his grandson Johnathan Young; his sons-in-law, Charlie Hartsoe and Randy Louya; and his sister Sarah Ann Deskins.
He is survived by: his wife Stella Bickford Young; his daughters, Sindy Vorderstrasse (Rodney) and Tina Staehr (Craig); his stepdaughters, Wendi Hartsoe, Tammy Louya, Michelle Travis (Dave) and Tondi Campbell (Jeff); and his daughter-in-law Cindy Hill. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, and 10 great grandchildren.
