It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Derrill Eugene Pitts of Landrum, South Carolina, born in Newberry, South Carolina, who passed away on September 27, 2024, at the age of 70, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Bobby L. Pitts and Betty Rhinehart Pitts; his wife Karen Vess Pitts; his children, Matt Pitts (Ginger), Candy Fluharty (Mike), Holly Rogers (Camden), Melissa Pitts Goode, Adam Pitts (Jessica) and Lauren Blair (Zach); his grandchildren, Sydney Murphy, Shelby Pitts, Jacob Fluharty, Emily Fluharty, Taylor Rogers, Madie Rogers, Kaydyn Rogers, Jax Goode, Noah Goode, Shaw Pitts, Jaclynne Pitts and Rylee Blair; his great grandchildren, Cameron Murphy, Sawyer Murphy and Carter Gene Blair; and his siblings, Randy Pitts, Bobby Dean Pitts, Ricky Pitts and Deborah Williams.
