She was predeceased by: her parents, Harold McConnell and Mary Pollard Novak McConnell. She is survived by: her children, Robert Schulz (Courtney) and Tracey Brannon (Doug); her grandchildren, Catherine Schulz, Caris Schulz, Chris Heyer (Tabby), Cody Heyer (Melissa), Spike Brannon (Brittny) and Lexi Brannon; and her great grandchildren, Henry Robert Heyer, George Daniel Heyer, Scarlett Faye Heyer, Dorothy Caroline Heyer and Hailey Hyder.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Laurelwoods Assisted Living activities program for "Caroline's Garden" created in her honor or to the Alzheimers Association.
