He is survived by: his children, Carl Edward "Eddie" Sawyer (Stacey), Stephanie and Melanie Sawyer; his siblings, William Harold Sawyer, Clint W. Schriner and Jean Sawyer; and his grandchildren, Sydney and David Sawyer.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, October 30th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Petty Funeral Home (124 S 562, Landrum, SC 29356). A funeral service was held on Thursday, October 31st 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, October 31st 2024 at 3:00 PM at the Evergreen Memorial Gardens (19630 Asheville Hwy, Landrum, SC 29356).
