Though Benjamin may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Benjamin touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his brother Ted Hayes; and his parents, Theodore Ward Hayes and Ada Hannah Hatchell Hayes. He is survived by: his wife Marcia Darnell Hayes of Laurens, SC.; his grandchildren, Ami, David, Feagin and Hatchell Hardy of Laurens, SC; and his sisters, Helen Hayes Lee of Pensacola, FL and Judy Hayes Johnson of Hartsville, SC..
A reception was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Baker Home (410 S Bomar Ave, Landrum, SC 29356).
