He was predeceased by: his parents, William Herbert Threatt, Sr. and Louise Whitaker Threatt; his wife Sarah Threatt; his daughter Sarah Lynn Cook; and his great grandchild Harley Cook.
He is survived by: his children, William Dowdy, Susan McMinn and Rhonda Crimminger; his grandchildren, Angie Caskey (Adrian), Dell Williams (Hollie), Brittany Jackson (Neil), Keith Crimminger, Chase Dowdy and Kendall Dowdy; and his great grandchildren, Taylor Cook (Pablo Blas), Baylee Caskey of Aiden Jackson, J. J, Simon Jackson and Gabrielle Blythe. He is also survived by extended family and friends.
