He was predeceased by: his parent Thomas Houston Moffett. He is survived by: his parent Dovie Williamson Moffett; his wife Shirley Allman Moffett; his sons, William Franklin Moffett of Gastonia and Jeremy Lee Moffett of Charlotte; his stepdaughters, Jane Trimnal (Bill) of Lancaster, SC and Pat Grahl (Rick) of Dallas; his siblings, Sam Moffett (Sue) of Dallas, Joe Moffitt (Billie) of Dallas and Susie McSwain of Dallas; and his grandchildren, Ginna Farris, Brian Trimnal and Brent Grahl. He is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Plainview Baptist Church, 3640 High Shoals Hwy, Dallas, NC 28034.
