He was predeceased by: his parents, James William Hinson, Sr. (J. W.) and Elizabeth Simpson Hinson; his sister Frances Ann Hinson Fleming; and his son-in-law Bradley Hardin Oates. He is survived by: his wife Ruby Anne Knight Hinson; his daughters, Amanda Steele (Marshall) and Anna Oates; and his grandchildren, Mary Marshall Steele, William Banks Steele, Sam Hardin Oates and Anna Bradley Oates.
Visitation was held on Sunday, November 10th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Rich Hill Baptist Church (1557 E Doc Garris Rd, Heath Springs, SC 29058). A celebration of life was held on Sunday, November 10th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Sunday, November 10th 2024 at the Rich Hill Baptist Church Cemetery (1557 E Doc Garris Rd, Heath Springs, SC 29058).
