With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Walter Wachta of Lancaster, South Carolina, born in Bondsville, Massachusetts, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Walter left this world on February 15, 2025 at the age of 93, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. Though Walter may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Walter touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. He was predeceased by: his wife Martha Mae Wachta; and his granddaughter Alicia Sanders. He is survived by: his children, Christopher Wachta (Pamela) and Catherine Wachta-Sanders; and his grandson Shane Sanders. He is also survived by two great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice or to St. Catherine's Catholic Church in Lancaster, South Carolina, in honor of Wally's life and enduring faith.
