He is survived by: his children, Walter Eugene Sanders, Jr. and Tracey Gregory (Jimmy) of Jefferson, SC; his brother Joe Sanders (Janet); his grandchildren, Tristan, Alstin, Aiden Gregory, Caleb Lucas, Avery and Summer Sanders; his nephew Bobby Sanders; and his niece Jasmine Small.
