It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Virginia Threatt Kennington of Lancaster, South Carolina, born in Pageland, South Carolina, who passed away on July 14, 2024, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband John Reynolds Kennington; her parents, Lonnie Edison Threatt and Roberta Benton Threatt; her son Eddie Kennington; and her siblings, Lonnie Edward Threatt, James William Threatt, Iris Decker, Margaret Lee Bryan and Ona Mae Mungo.
She is survived by: her children, John Robert Kennington of Camden, Dick Simpson (Candace) of Graham, NC and Victoria Kennington Ervin (Joseph) of Lugoff. She is also survived by six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions may be made to Lexington Community Hospice House, 128 Library Hill Lane, Lexington, SC 29072 or to Union Baptist Church, 5003 Taxahaw Road, Lancaster, SC 29720.
