She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Blakeney Shute and Freddie Fayerene Huckabee Shute; her grandparents, Fred Gaston Huckabee, Margaret Marshall Huckabee, William Marion Preston Shute and Molly Knight Shute; her siblings, Lynne Shute Payne and Fred Henry Shute; her nephews, Charles Shute, Travis Gay and Brian Allen Payne; and her brothers-in-law, Frankie Horton and Dale Payne.
She is survived by: her sons, David Knight, John Carnes, Jonathan Carnes and Chris Carnes; and her siblings, Blakie Shute (Dianne), Deborah Shute Crenshaw (Johnny), Paulette Shute Parker (Johnny), Sherry Shute, Richard Shute, Elaine Shute Horton, Sara Shute Crowe (Ian), Marion Shute, Billy Shute and Mark Shute (Christy). She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
