He was predeceased by: his parents, Jack Shehane and Maudell Sims Shehane. He is survived by: his wife Linda Baker Shehane; his daughters, Angie Faile, Dee Dee Stroud (Barry) of Lancaster and Susan Wilhide (Jimmy) of Rock Hill; his sister Jane Tripp (Judson) of Lancaster; his sister-in-law Helen Shehane of Lancaster; his close friend Dickson Sistare; his children, Jennifer Neely (Tim) of Lancaster, Bryan Baker of Lancaster and Jean Sullivan Shehane; his brothers, Ronnie and Allen Shehane; and his wife's sons, Dean and Jason Baker. He is also survived by six granddaughters and eight great grandchildren.
