It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Thurman Gillis of Lancaster, South Carolina, who passed away on January 6, 2025, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his son Robert Thurman Gillis; and his parent Golda Gillis Perry. He is survived by: his daughter Lisa Parker (Brian); his grandsons, Gillis Scott Robinson, Griffin Brice Robinson and Scott Robinson; his sister-in-law Jeanette Robinson (Morrison); his nephew Mark Robinson (Barbara); his great-nieces, Savannah Robinson and Emily Catterton (Justin); his stepgrandchildren, BJ Parker, Colby Parker, Kayti Parker, Matt and Jaxson; and also Pat Gillis-Bunch. He is also survived by his grandsons Dad and special caregiver.
A funeral service was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Burgess Funeral Home (1800 Charlotte Hwy, Lancaster, SC 29720).
