She was predeceased by: her parents, Wesley Rutledge and Irene Jones Rutledge. She is survived by: her husband William T. Murphy; her sons, Kennon D. Murphy of Charlotte, NC and Rodney L. Murphy of North Charleston, SC; her siblings, Howard Moore and Carolyn Harris of Lancaster, SC; and her godson Craig Battle of Washington, DC. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, five great grandchildren.
