He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Oliver Wood and Marie Dill Wood; and his siblings, Frank Wood, Mark Wood, Johnny Wood, Donald Wood, Ross Wood, Bessie Ross and Katherine Wood.
He is survived by: his daughters, Janice Wood Wray (Joel) of York and Sharon Annette Rape (Dewayne) of Lancaster; his brothers, JT Wood of Rock Hill and Lawrence Wood of Heath Springs; his grandchildren, Michael Cameron (Katherine), Misty Tuley (Nick), Stephanie Rape and Ryan Rape (Gabby); and his great grandchildren, Alyson, Van, Kevin, Connor, Abby and Charlotte.
Visitation was held on Monday, April 21st 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the New Hope Baptist Church (3731 Lynwood Dr, Lancaster, SC 29720). A funeral service was held on Monday, April 21st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
