He was predeceased by: his parents, John T. Thompson and Sarah Hunter Thompson Phillips; and his brother Robert Thompson. He is survived by: his wife Frances Thompson; his daughters, Kelli Bowers (Todd) of Lugoff, SC and Mandy Phillips (Chris) of Heath Springs, SC; his grandsons, Brandon Bowers, Alex Bowers, Owen Phillips, Grant Phillips and Heath Phillips; his sister Joyce Robinson; and his siblings-in-law, Jackie Campbell, Jack Montgomery, Jean Campbell and Lillie Mae Montgomery. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
