He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar Stevens and Pauline Ivy Stevens; his wife Artie Mae Stevens; his daughters, Polly Mungia and Sheila Stevens; and his granddaughter Heather Baldwin.
He is survived by: his sons, Mitchell and Jason Edward Ballard of Ridgeville; his close friend Betty Odom of Chester; his stepdaughters, Crystal Starnes of Kentucky, Charlene Mims of Florida and Samantha Mims of Florida; and his siblings, Billy Ray Stevens (Linda) of Bethune, Minnie Belle Ballard of Lancaster and Mary Starnes (Cecil) of Lancaster. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren.
