It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard Eugene Mullis of Lancaster, South Carolina, who passed away on September 24, 2024, at the age of 69, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Rosser Edward Mullis, Sr. and Virginia Irene Moss Mullis; his nephew Joshua Shane Mullis; and his brothers, Ronald Edward Mullis and Rosser "Butch" Mullis.

He is survived by: his fiancé Lane Williams; his sister Tara Leigh McLaughlin; his daughters, Tina Marie Mullis (Harold Nance) and Tricia Lynn Thomas (Joe Thomas); his grandchildren, Bailey Mullis, Kevin Wagoner, Katie Bishop, Christian Baerga, Jesse McMillan and Miley Thomas; and his great grandchildren, Anberlin, Alaina and Oliver.

“He stayed funny till the end, in the midst of pain. He told the nurse " I came prepared" with depends and pads, As his sister he tried to share his 💜 heart and inmost feelings and instead of all the seriousness he made me laugh and cracked a laugh himself. When he graduated basic training, we drove down in his Volkswagen, painted blue, red hubcaps and white wall tires, the All American bug. I'm glad we had some laughs together, till we meet again❤🙏💯”
