He was predeceased by: his siblings, Robert, Meta Payne, Betty Short, Earlene Joyner and Loree Pate.
He is survived by: his wife Joann Denton; his daughters, Dr. Pamela Mungo and Martha Mungo Bryant (Russ); his grandchildren, Dr. Joanna Bryant and Scott Bryant; and his sisters, Mary Kathryn Dabney and Peggy Harmon (Earl). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
He has asked that in lieu of flowers donations should be made to Shriners Children Hospital in Greenville.
