It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Phyllis Ford Proffitt (Lancaster, South Carolina), born in Mooresville, North Carolina, who passed away on June 7, 2019, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, John Dee Ford and Beatrice Harris Ford; her husband Joseph E. Proffitt; her daughter Virginia "Ginger" Ann Blackmon; and her brother Leonard Ray Ford.

She is survived by: her brother Eugene Ford of Fallon, NV. She is also survived by two daughters; five grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren.
