She was predeceased by: her parents, Jasper Ward "Coot" Sistare and Vastie Funderburk Sistare; her husbands, Eugene Sistare, Frank Helms and Allen "Shorty" Funderburk; her son George Wayne Sistare; her siblings, Leedell Funderburk, Gaynell Crenshaw, Mary Humphries, Ray Sistare, Jack Sistare, Ned Sistare and Tommy Sistare; and her grandsons, Landon Sistare and Tommy Faile.
She is survived by: her children, Barbara Phifer (Jerry), Melissa Knight (Phil), Joan Harrell (Bruce), Kay Tarlton, Jean Lloyd (Bill), Robert Sistare (Diane), Lynn Brecht (Vickie) and Richard Funderburk (Valerie); her brother Jerry Sistare (Pat); and her siblings-in-law, Lonnie Humphries and Clara Belle Mangum. She is also survived by twenty three grandchildren; forty great grandchildren.
