She was predeceased by: her parents, Charlie Butler Sharpton and Nettie Bozard Sharpton; her husband Calvin Pierce Miller; her daughter Margaret Miller James; her siblings, C. B. Sharpton, Jr., Ruth Hughes and Virginia Rowe; and her granddaughter Jennifer James.
She is survived by: her sons, Charles C. Miller (Beth) of Laurens, SC, Milford H. Miller of Thomasville, NC and J. Dwight Miller (Molly) of Helena, AL; her grandchildren, Stephanie Wallace (Kevin), Adam Miller (Casey), Alice Dorn (Lee), David Miller, Kathleen Simcoe (Owen), Rebecca Darby (John) and Emily Northington (Wes); her great grandchildren, Emma, Kaitlyn, Levi, Caroline, Robert, Ruthanna, Margaret, Elaina, Rachel and Ellen; and her sister Barbara Williams.
