With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Matilda Rutledge (Lancaster, South Carolina), born in Sylvester, Georgia, who passed away on January 9, 2019 at the age of 95. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Matilda Rutledge to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Sam Gaughf and Emma Gaughf; her husband Hugh Rutledge; her brother J. L. Gaughf; and her son-in-law Bill Daniel.
She is survived by: her daughters, Wanda Daniel and Iris Robinson (Jim); and her grandchildren, Andy Daniel (Michelle) of Rock Hill, Mike Daniel (Stacy) of Mount Pleasant, Krystie Vance (Jason) of Cosby and Jim Robinson (Sarah) of Fort Mill. She is also survived by eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
The family suggests, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to Immanuel Baptist Church, Children's Ministry, 1152 Great Falls Highway, Lancaster, SC 29720.
