With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Matilda Gaughf Rutledge (Lancaster, South Carolina), born in Sylvester, Georgia, who passed away on January 9, 2019 at the age of 95. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Sam Gaughf and Emma Gaughf; her husband Hugh Rutledge; her brother J. L. Gaughf; and her son-in-law Bill Daniel.
She is survived by: her daughters, Wanda Daniel and Iris Robinson (Jim); and her grandchildren, Andy Daniel (Michelle) of Rock Hill, SC, Mike Daniel (Stacy) of Mt. Pleasant, SC, Krystie Vance (Jason) of Cosby, TN and Jim Robinson (Sarah) of Fort Mill, SC.. She is also survived by eight great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
The family suggest, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to Immanuel Baptist Church, Children's Ministry, 1152 Great Falls Hwy., Lancaster, SC 29720.
