It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Martha Roberts (Lancaster, South Carolina), born in Raleigh, North Carolina, who passed away on June 27, 2020, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Clifford Whitehead and Mildred Whitehead; her husband David Thurlow Roberts, Jr.; and her children, David Alan Roberts, Pat McAteer, Susan Rich and Carolyn Bobbie Roberts.
She is survived by: her son Christopher Roberts; her sons-in-law, Rev. Charles McAteer and Keith Rich; and her grandchildren, Charlene Sanchez (Julio), Dennis McAteer, Cathy Gardner (Dean), Charlotte Burnett (Dean), Jessica Pardue, Lee Lucas, Dustin Lucas, Sheyan Rich, Mae, Addison, Nickalos, Olivia, Martin and Alexia. She is also survived by 18 great-great grandchildren; and 3 great-great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests the memorial contributions to White Springs Baptist Church, 1249 Grace Ave., Lancaster, SC 29720.
