She was predeceased by: her parents, Jacob T. Smith and Ruby T. Smith; her stepmother Thelma Smith; and her husband Joe H. Lucas. She is survived by: her children, David Lucas of Jacksonville, FL, Sheila Boiter (Tim) of Spartanburg, SC and Steve Lucas of Lancaster, SC; her grandchildren, Ashley Fuller (Cullen) of Lancaster, SC, Michael Kennington (Kimberly) of Lancaster, SC and Joseph Lucas of Jacksonville, FL; and her great grandchildren, Emma Paige and John Shermon Heyward.
