He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Dixon Myers and Edna Welch Myers; his son Stephen Dennis Myers; and his grandson Stephen Derrick Grove. He is survived by: his children, Donald Andrew Myers of Lancaster, Bert Michael Myers of Lancaster and Catherine Susan Myers of Fort Lawn; his sister Mary Oliver of Lancaster; his grandchildren, Stephanie Myers, Jennifer Myers, Amanda Myers, Donna Graves, Lisa Vingua and Cristy Faulk; and his friend LJ "Fly Bird" Myers. He is also survived by seven great grandchildren.
