She was predeceased by: her parents, Hunter William Wolfe and Loma Pemilla Vickery Wolfe; her husband Joe Helms; and her daughter Joanne Helms Gaddy. She is survived by: her children, Mickie Pressley (Jimmy), Michelle Rainey (Billy), Shelby Smith (Philip), Junior Helms (Kimberly) and Johnny Helms (Penny). She is also survived by 11 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.
