It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Larry Preston Lear of Lancaster, South Carolina, born in Ruby, South Carolina, who passed away on February 23, 2024, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Lear Lear and Mary Jordan Lear; his wife Kathryn Truesdale Lear; his daughter Julie Lear; and his siblings, Perry Lear, Harold Lear, Linda Rollings and Louise Spence.
He is survived by: his sons, Marty Thomas Lear (Kendra) of Lancaster and Jeffrey Lear (Debra) of Warner Robbins, GA; his granddaughters, Kaitlyn and Heather; his brother-in-law Ronnie Rollings of Mt. Croghan, SC; and his niece Cheryl Melton.
