He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Alexander Rushing and Melba Deese Rushing; his son-in-law Michael Kersey; his brother-in-law Edward Adkins; his granddaughter Hannah Freeman; and his close friend Michael Pearson.
He is survived by: his daughters, Suzanne Freeman (Greg), April Williams (Todd) and Erin Kersey; his grandchildren, Ezekiel Williams, Isaac Williams, Catherine Freeman, Madeline Kersey, Josiah Freeman, Victoria Freeman, Julianna Kersey, Ezra Williams, Lowdan Kersey, Levi Williams, Zachary Freeman, Zebulon Williams and Abigail Freeman; his great grandchildren, Michael Burroughs and Colton Burroughs; and his sisters, Judy Adkins, Lorraine Knight and Lisa Ingram (John).
Visitation was held on Saturday, October 26th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Lancaster Funeral Home (709 N White St, Lancaster, SC 29720). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, October 26th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Lancaster Funeral Home Chapel (709 N White St, Lancaster, SC 29720).
