He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Ripley Copeland and Sara Maude Thompson Copeland; and his brothers, Thomas "Tommy" Copeland and Donald Copeland. He is survived by: his wife Linda Mungo Copeland; his children, Tonia Copeland Pate (David R. Pate) of Lancaster, Chris Robinson (Angela Jackson Robinson) of Kershaw and Darrin Keith Copeland of Lancaster; his grandchildren, Raven Baker, Isiah Baker, Christian Copeland, Christina Jackson and Daniel Johnson; his great grandchildren, Draven and Kensey; and his brother Jerry Copeland (Linda) of Rock Hill. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
