It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joseph Alexander Thompson of Lancaster, South Carolina, who passed away on September 3, 2020, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, William Walter Thompson and Lois Irene Caskey Thompson; his former wife Joan Scott Thompson; and his sister Nancye Hersey. He is survived by: his wife Emma Arant Thompson of Lancaster; his children, Scott Thompson (Sheila) of Lancaster, Tony Thompson (Tabatha) of Lugoff, Tim Williams (Ann Marie) of Panama City, FL, Becky Montes (Jose) of Melbourne, FL and Mona Moorman (Tom) of Fort Mill; and his sister Faye Caskey (Clyde) of Lancaster. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren.
