He was predeceased by: his parents, Woodrow Arant and Gladys Greene Arant; and his siblings, Frank Arant, Jerry Arant and Margie Arant Rollings.
He is survived by: his wife Linda McGee Arant; his daughters, Michelle Humphries (Richard) of Lancaster and Melinda Hyatt (Michael) of Lancaster; his siblings, Charles Arant of Heath Springs and Patty Arant of Kershaw; his grandchildren, Tori Humphries, Ashley Houston (Richard), Michael J. Hyatt and Noah Hyatt; and his great grandchild Cole Houston.
