He was predeceased by: his parents, John Timko, Sr. and Ruth Ann Smith Timko; his wife Carolyn Timko; his son William Daniel Timko; and his sister Elizabeth Louise Kreeves.
He is survived by: his children, Douglas W. Timko, Kelly Ann Shirley and Kasey Marie Howie (Tim); his grandchildren, Brandy (Josh), Jackson, Joseph and Ashleigh; his stepgrandchildren, Erin, Pace (Alexis), Tarra (Rusty), Kirk, Kody (Leah), Josie and Ryan; his great grandchildren, Aarlyn, Levi, Asher, Leland, Aria, Lila, Wade, Liam and Hayden; and his stepchildren, Paul Wallace, Kelly Elaine Singer (Dirk), Carla Faulkenberry (Billy) and Martha Roberts (George Ray). He is also survived by family members and friends.
A celebration of life was held on Tuesday, April 8th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Chapel of Burgess Funeral Home (1800 Charlotte Hwy, Lancaster, SC 29720). A graveside service was held on Tuesday, April 8th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Fort Jackson National Cemetery.
