He was predeceased by: his parents, Jack Stogner and Nannie Hudson Stogner; his wife Julia Faye Helms Stogner; his sister Betty Jenkins; and his son-in-law James Ronald Starnes.

He is survived by: his children, Angela Stogner Starnes and Bryan Maxwell Stogner; his grandchildren, Chase, Devin (Angel), Justin (Sarah) and Dylan Stogner; his great grandchildren, Astrid Nelson, Jaden Stogner and Julia Stogner; and his brother Gene Stogner.
