He was predeceased by: his parents, McKinley Truesdale and Maggie Bell Truesdale. He is survived by: his children, Johnny Lee Carter Jr. of Lancaster, SC, Aaron Jermaine Hunt of Lancaster, SC and Johnnie Mae Massey of Lancaster, SC; his siblings, Kent Carter Jr. of Lancaster, SC, James Lee Carter of Lancaster, SC and Arlevia C. Harris of Lancaster, SC; and his significant other Maggie Hall of Lancaster, SC. He is also survived by five grandchildren, three great grandchildren.
