It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joan Elizabeth Broughton Harmon of Lancaster, South Carolina, who passed away on April 19, 2024, at the age of 60, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

As Joan Elizabeth Broughton departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Joan Elizabeth Broughton may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Joan Elizabeth Broughton leaves behind.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Hazel J. Broughton and Beulah Blalock Broughton; and her aunt Mildred Byrd. She is survived by: her son Jeffery Moree of Lancaster; her sister June B. Stovall (Ken) of Charleston; her niece Katie Niemeyer (Andrew); her nephew Kyle Stovall; and her great-nephew William "Willie" Gregory Niemeyer of Charleston.
