She was predeceased by: her parents, William A. Gallagher and Rose Mary Koermaier Gallagher; her husband Cyrus Amato; her son James W. Amato; and her sisters, Margaret Tischio, Claire Whelan and Rose Marie Corbett.
She is survived by: her children, Cyrus H. Amato, Jr. (Ellen) of New Jersey, Tom Amato of California, Kathy Amato of Pennsylvania, Gina Amato of Pennsylvania, Anne Amato of New Jersey and Mary Atkinson (James) of Lancaster; and her sister Mary Jo Jubon (Tom) of Pennsylvania. She is also survived by fourteen grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren.
