It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Jessie Short (Lancaster, South Carolina), born in Ruby, South Carolina, who passed away on February 19, 2025, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Loney Steen Short and Lester Bart Short. He is survived by: his daughter Debbie S. Stacks (Dennis); his grandchildren, William "Bo" Stacks (Kim), Michael Green, Daniel McCain and Heather McCain; and his great grandchildren, Madison Green, Marisa Green, Kristen Wallace (Kolton), Kaleb Stacks, Willow McCain, Asher McCain and Aspyn McCain.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 23rd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Burgess Funeral Home (1800 Charlotte Hwy, Lancaster, SC 29720). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, February 23rd 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Chapel of Burgess Funeral Home (1800 Charlotte Hwy, Lancaster, SC 29720).
