He was predeceased by: his parents, Julius R. Garris and Annie Belle Stroud Garris; his sister Thelma Pate; and his daughter-in-law Annette Garris. He is survived by: his wife Mary Lee Garris of Darden's Jewelers; his children, Larry Garris and Emily Garris (Patricia); his granddaughters, Lanette Towsend (Vic) and Tiffany Crawford (Adam); his great grandchild Hudson Crawford; his brother Pete Garris (Barbara); and his caregivers, Ella Howard, Elaine Boone and Victoria Starnes.
